Anatomy and Physiology Revision - Guarantee Your Exam Success

You have attended all the classes, listened to all the lectures, read the muscle names over and over again, spent hours learning the glands, bones, tissues, the cell and all the body systems and now it is time to revise.

Anatomy and Physiology revision can be very tough. As a result you must be organised from the very beginning. Your revision plan must be structured and it is essential that you have a good Anatomy and Physiology study guide.

To begin with, write out your revision plan. Each body system should be broken down and learned separately, so for e.g. your plan could look something like this;

Body System Date of Revision

The Cell 1st - 4th (of whatever month you start)

The Skin 5th - 7th

And so on. I cannot stress how important organisation and structure are to any Anatomy and Physiology revision plan. I found that the best way to learn each system is to have a set of questions. Most Anatomy and Physiology exams are in the format of multiple choice so these type of questions would be the best to use. Also there is no room for error with multiple choice questions so they are ideal.

Take a bundle of small record cards and write out several questions on each side. Carry these record cards everywhere you go and study them every chance you get, when you are on the bus or train to and from work, at lunch time, before you go to bed etc. Once you have one body system completed for e.g, The Nervous System, then test yourself and see how many answers you get right. This is a great way to gauge what area you are weak or strong at. Continue this process until you have covered all body systems and you will be amazed at how knowledgeable you become.
